durations: half day, 1 day or 2 days Explores how to create an innovative organisation.
Firstly we look at why an organisation needs to be innovative. We consider life cycles of products and processes and see why constant innovation is critical. Then we look at the seven dimensions of innovation and how you can keep these in balance within the organisation. We also look at how to develop models that will help the organisation develop. Next we look at innovation from an "Inside-Out" point of view. How individuals generate and carry forward ideas. How groups can become facilitators for the individual's ideas and how to get around the organisation's natural tendency to stifle innovation. We also look at the organisational culture and how this can be developed. Finally we look at innovation from an "Outside-In" point of view. What other organisations are doing. How to benchmark ourselves and how to gather ideas and ways of doing things from the external environment. At the end of this workshop attendees will:- know the seven dimensions of innovation and be able to balance them in their organisation
- be able to develop processes to benchmark their organisation against others from an innovation perspective
- be able to develop an innovative organisational culture
